Jaded Lover hits with more past goodness on ‘08-’18 Upgrayedd Mixes Vol. 2. A re-mix/master “Upgrayedd” treatment on two tracks, with a new song that only existed as an unreleased demo before now.

“Bowels Of Disco (Upgrayedd Mix)”, so eloquently titled, reaches up up up through the atmosphere of Earth.
Proceeds to hang a left and chug past an indifferent cosmos into the beautifully chic reaches beyond. This funky disco song will hook(y) straight into your skull as you bop along to it.
Where were you the day the bowels of the deep opened up?
We truly hope you were scratching away on the dance floor.

“Theme to Brion James (Upgrayedd Mix)” perfects the party with driving rhythms, big synth leads, and subtle shout outs to Wax Trax Records’ heyday.
Puffing the hookah and heading down the disco rabbit hole, when everybody’s out to have a good time, there’s no need for replicants to revolt.
In this ode to (the man behind) the crew’s muscle with mommy issues, this ‘theme” can’t help but make you feel empathy for even the most put upon synthetic companions.

“Genus Of Pleasure (I’m Available)” is pressed by a synth bassline with laid-back breakbeats across skittering crystal dub percussion and electric guitar. Space in your face synth overlooks it all.
A lonely pillow, a note pressed, sustained.
It’s 2008 in Wicker Park, and appetites are hefty.
Will the noodle bring you pleasure?
Hurdling over language barriers, we all realize that the benefits will far outweigh the pain of getting this job done. Appetites are funny things, after all.
Tink-tink raps a knife on glass.
Name’s Hodad, he says.
“I’m available, here all the time, and I’ll do anything.”
Even a job that’s over 10 years in the making.
-M.W.
